What is

Divorce Mediation?

Divorce mediation is a voluntary settlement process used frequently and successfully by married couples who want to divorce and by domestic partners who wish to separate. Divorce mediation allows couples to plan their futures rationally and in an atmosphere of cooperation and mutual respect. With the assistance of a trained divorce mediator, you can reach a custom-made agreement for your family, your finances, and your future.

Divorce mediation is the preferred choice for couples and families facing separation and divorce because it provides a cost-saving means to reach agreements in a collaborative setting. At the same time, divorce mediation gives couples more control over the process and decision-making. As a result, communication between couples is better, so resolutions take less time. For Free Consult

Our Divorce Mediation Process

Divorce mediation is an informal process, delivering a confidential and inexpensive alternative to litigated divorce. Mediation is less stressful as you work together to create mutually agreeable terms. The process is somewhat collaborative, and as a result, the post-divorce relationship can be healthier and happier for the couple and their family.

Free Initial Consultation

We believe in full transparency, so the initial half-hour consultation is free. After that, we walk you through the mediation process, explain your rights, address your expectations, and provide a fee estimate. This free consultation can be in your own home, online, or on neutral ground, including our offices or a third-party location.

Three (Or More) Two-hour Mediated Negotiation Sessions

Following the initial consultation, we will hold approximately three two-hour mediation sessions to complete the divorce process.

Preparation of Parent Agreements

Reducing the impact of a divorce transition on your children is, first and foremost, in the mediation process. Our goal is to help you reach a satisfactory co-parenting agreement that addresses the needs of both parents and children while respecting the schedules and lifestyles of all family members.

Establishing Financial Terms

We provide clear information on your rights and obligations so that you can make a fully informed and fair decision on the terms of your financial settlement. This includes outlining and finalizing asset and liability/debt division to child support, spousal support, and retirement accounts.

Final Settlement Agreement

A legally binding agreement will be drafted by a mediation-friendly attorney and filed at your local courthouse. Finally, the court will enter an order, and the divorce process will be complete – on your terms.
